Uses: Nitrogen stabilized wood shavings are a coarser soil amendment which can increase aeration. These larger sizes particles make this a perfect choice in larger tree and shrub plantings and in areas where the soil needs better aeration and drainage. Nitrogen is required by soil bacteria to break down organic matter and convert it to a food supply for your plants.
