In 1978 Bruce Reuser began using his dump truck to haul sawdust.

From the beginning, Reuser, Inc. has always been a family operated business. Over the last twenty-five years he has expanded his business one step at a time. Today Bruce, along with his two sons John and Merle, have a company that provides landscaping materials to retail years and landscapers throughout the bay area and points beyond

Bruce and his family were continuously updating and adding equipment as Reuser, Inc. grew. By the late 80's all the trucks were equipped with on-board computer systems that enables the company to have better customer service and more productivity.

To do our part to help air quality, our machinery is continuously up-dated, in order to stay with the current emissions standards. For several years we have been using vegetable oil instead of hydraulic oil in our hydraulic systems, which, in the event of a spill, has no impact on the environment. These vegetable-based hydraulic oils pass the Coast Guard and the U.S. EPA standards for environmentally-sensitive areas and they are non-toxic, inherently biodegradable and are easily recycled. We have an ongoing quest to reduce our consumption of nonrenewable resources and we are continually working towards this goal.

Our trucks are designed to carry the minimum amount of fuel needed, this precludes an abundance of fuel in the event of an accident. Tires are purchased, specifically designed for their position on the truck and trailers, maximizing the truck and trailer's stability on the highways. This in combination with antilock brakes on all our equipment insures much safer panic stops. All of us at Reuser, Inc. are committed to continuing to update and improve equipment and trucks in order to run a safe, energy-efficient and productive work environment.
